For the first-time SLR owner, this workshop is a great introduction to the world of Digital SLR photography. The advanced automation of your camera will be explored, as well working with lenses and files. This workshop will take away much of the mystery of your camera, and begin to let you take control of your image making process.

Learning Goals:

• Basic camera operation and features
• Making the most of the command dial's auto modes
• Working with lenses and auto focus
• Image size and compression
• Importing your images into the computer

Workshops Size: six student maximum

Fees: $160 ($80 spouse fee) / $250 one-on-one

Who Should Attend: This workshop is for photographers who are new to single lens reflex (SLR) cameras, prior knowledge of photography is not necessary.

What to Bring: A digital single-lens reflex camera and lens; additional lenses (if available and appropriate); tripods are recommended. Students provide their own memory cards and batteries.
