This workshop is designed to introduce the student to the basics of photographic studio strobe setup and usage. Using SLR cameras, and the participant's own lighting equipment, studio lighting equipment and set-ups are explored. At the end of the workshop the participant should feel confident in being able to create a basic lighting set-up.

  • Flash meter (film only)
  • Histogram (digital only)
  • Exposure control
  • Camera Sync settings

  • Light modifiers
  • Multiple heads

Fee: one-on-one - $350

Requirements: Studio flash equipment (any brand), a manual capable SLR camera (film or digital) with either a flash hot-shoe, or a sync plug, and additional lenses if available; a tripod is recommended.
