The photographic studio is synonymous with portrait photography, ranging from formal grad and fashion images, to family groups and fine art portraits. This workshop with explore the art of lighting a portrait with studio flash, working with one, two and three light set-ups, gradually adding to the tools a photographer can take advantage of in the studio. Other light modifying tools will be examined, though the central focus of the workshop will always remain where it should, on the subject of the portrait! Learning Goals:
Class Size: four to six students (3:1 model ratio) Fee: $200 / $350 one-on-one ($300 if model is provided) Requirements: A manual capable single-lens reflex camera (film or digital) and lens; additional lenses (if available and appropriate); tripods are recommended.
