an introduction to
Illuminating Lightroom focuses on working with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic (the desktop focused photo editing app)*; a powerful image management program that will help you get the most out of your photographic images with both quality and speed.
While Adobe Photoshop is undeniably the premium digital image editing tool, there are many things that digital photographers need that Photoshop cannot provide. As an image catalog, processing and output tool, Lightroom Classic provides most photographers with exactly the tool they need to work with their ever growing collections of digital images.
Each class is accompanied by full colour notes and written homework assignments.
*Adobe Lightroom (the cloud based service), Adobe Lightroom (tablet and iPad) and Adobe Lightroom Web are not specifically covered by this course, though many of the skills and techniques are transferable
Illuminating Lightroom begins with 4 classes focused on the powerful Library module. You'll learn how to build a catalogue, and collect and catalog your images with ease, use basic and advanced search and sort criteria, and export images for a variety of uses.
Illuminating Lightroom then spends 6 weeks exploring with Lightroom Classic's Develop Module to create striking photographs, realize the potential of your camera original images. And all this is non-destructive to your files, leaving your original RAW, TIFF or JPEG images safe and intact.
Each class is accompanied by full colour notes and homework assignments.

Feedback from students:
"I just wanted to say thanks again for the great Lightroom I and II courses. I have wanted to learn more about post-production for a long time and I feel like I learned a great deal from both parts of the Lightroom courses. Now I just need to commit to practicing and improving my skills!" Susan B
"Excellent notes and small class size. Both were great courses Eric and I'm always amazed how expansive your knowledge on photography is and thankful that you are so giving of your time. THANK YOU :-)" Debby C
"I was also thinking of writing to say how much I am enjoying the development class. There was so much that I was not doing. There are new horizons for me to explore and I am very excited about it. I went away last Monday greatly enthused. So thank you for being such a good teacher" - Pam M.
"I just wanted to mention that I really enjoyed this series of classes. I had no idea how much Lightroom could do, and how logical it could all be when properly explained. As always, you have an exceptional talent for teaching, which comes from having a highly structured and thorough understanding of all things photo. Thanks so much." Gabrielle H.
"Eric is incredibly knowledgeable, but never made me feel like my questions were silly. He is a gifted teacher with an ability to share his enthusiasm and help his students feel capable. I appreciated his accessibility and willingness to give advice through email and phone calls". - Karen V.
