LEARNING THOUGH SHARED EXPERIENCE & REVIEW
The mentored field trip series provides a season-based opportunity to practice your photographic skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. Open to photographers of all skill levels, the shared field trip experience is coupled with a group print review, where students can gain insight into a wide variety of approaches to the same location and subject.
LEARN BY DOING
with mentored field trips
is an incredible way to take your photography to the next level. Each location is selected by Eric Boutilier-Brown to help foster the photographic eye, and provide a rich environment to create in.
With each field trip lasting 2+ hours, and followed up by a critique/review session a couple of weeks later, there is plenty of time to both photograph, and work through the image made during each field trip. The critique/reivew session, focused on prints, provides a chance to see what the other participants produced in the same location, providing inspiration and ideas to grow with.

The Winter, Water & Ice seminar focuses on working in cold weather, and making long exposures of moving water.
The Spring Blossom & Bloom seminar puts an emphasis on exploring the , and working with smaller subjects.
The Summer Light seminar revolves around photographing at sunset, and working with long exposures.
The Fall Colours seminar is all about making the most of the beautiful light and colours of the Nova Scotia fall season.
